Comment:

 Tried upgrading to 8891, problem still exists.  Tried using MythTV via
 NFS, problem still exists.  I don't use HDTV, and have used MythTV for
 over a year now without any problems between the Nehemiah 1.2GHz and the
 XP1700 worked perfectly fine without the long startup and jerks and now
 the long startup and jerks happened a month ago.  Like I said, the jerks
 will go away if I adjust the time stretch from 1 to 0.9 and back to 1
 which smacks me of a bug.  If you don't believe that this is a bug, just
 close the ticket and I will never speak of the subject again and live with
 adjusting the time stretch every time I start Live TV.
