 I didn't mean to change the title earlier, so I've changed it back.

 Cougar, it looks like this was fixed in the last few days. Can you make
 absolutely sure that you have the latest SVN installed on all your
 frontends and backends, and that there is only one set of mythtv libraries
 installed (i.e. not one set in /usr/lib and another in /usr/local/lib and
 another in /opt/mythtv/lib, etc.)

 This command will tell you what you are linking to:
 {{{
 ldd /usr/local/bin/mythfrontend
 }}}

 I'm marking this as a duplicate of #1078, if you can repeat this after
 making sure the latest SVN is installed on all your machines, reopen #1078
 with logs made with the latest SVN.
