Comment:

 If you setup mythbackend/mythshutdown as described in the docs then there
 is no way Myth with shutdown your computer while watching live TV because
 the shutdown process will only start when the master backend has no active
 connections.

 mythshutdown -x was a feature added by dev at ... for use in scripts as he
 describes above. If it doesn't work the way you want you can always fix it
 so it does. If you create a ticket with a patch  I will certainly take a
 look at it.
