 Maverik and nigel - unfortuantly I haven't had much time to try and
 replicate these errors in order to provide the additional information
 needed to help with this ticket (and to possibly differentiate any root
 causes from what marverik might be seeing).  I should be able to provide
 something this week.  Sorry for the delay, it's been one of those months.
