Comment:

 I just tested it out with the latest SVN.  Yes, Japanese characters now
 show up, but nothing with Japanese characters will play.  The error the
 PS3 gives is "The content could not be played.  This content may have been
 deleted from the media server".  Things with only English characters play
 just fine though.
