Comment:

 My system still behaves as I reported on the user list on 3 May.  Then it
 was a new problem.

 DVDs are from MythArchive using MythCenter theme with 3 titles to the menu
 page and 8 chapters per title.
 No selection box is ever visible on the root menu, but selection does work
 and the arrows at the page foot are correctly highlighted.  Selecting the
 root menu from the OSD falls through to the chapter menu.
 Current mythfrontend --version output:
