 yes, apparently /proc/bus/usb is no longer populated.  I recommend using
 lsusb instead.  After loading the firmware, the device will renumerate as
 follows:
 before loading firmware:
 Bus 004 Device 004: ID 04b4:8613 Cypress Semiconductor Corp. CY7C68013 EZ-
 USB FX2 USB 2.0 Development Kit

 After loading firmware:
 Bus 004 Device 006: ID 0547:1002 Anchor Chips, Inc.

 note that the Device number changed.
 This is normal.  you should be able to use r5ktest to scan for this device
 now.

 r5ktest -m 6 -t 0
 Should return:
 Scanning for R5000 devices
 Found: xxxxxxx
