 Update:  I have confirmed the problem also happens using SD livetv as
 well.  Also, I found this ticket - 6583 - which sounds identical to the
 issue I am having.  However, 6583 seems to indicate that the problem is
 resolved; if so I can confirm that it is not resolved - at least not for
 me :)
