Comment:

 Please try with latest trunk. The backtrace doesn't make it look like it's
 really hung, it's just trying to buffer enough video, probably because you
 have no seektables.

 We also need to know what type of files, mpeg2, h.264 or something else?
 Which container? In short we need much more information.
