 I've attached second log from the LOTR SEE disk 2, which first shows some
 frames of the movie (maybe 0.5-1 second) and only then shows the language
 selection screen. This time the selection is visible and works okay.

 The movie being played before the selection screen is another cosmetic
 issue which could be fixed (if possible).
