Comment:

 (In [25286]) Applying patch which provides the following major changes

  * move the trigger advancing controls and frame interval knowledge out of
 vsync
  * give NVP complete control over frame interval and trigger handling

 This greatly simplifies how part of the AV sync code works and should help
 reduce or eliminate hard to identify bugs.

 Thanks to Davin McCall for the his efforts in idenfying the problem and
 creating this patch.

 Fixes #7067.
