 My patch changes the alignment of the _end_ of the buffer, and so
 apparently avoids tickling a bug in PulseAudio.  You can repeat your
 assertion about WriteAudio as many times as you like, but the fact is that
 it has no effect on the hiss.  This is _not_ a bug in MythTV but a
 workaround for a problem in PulseAudio.
