 Stuart,

 With all due respect and while understanding you may be "appalled" by the
 mentioning of the word softcam, there are 2 points I'd like to make to
 your rude dismissal of this sincere and very real bug.

 1. The use of a softcam to share one legitimate subscription/smartcard
 among 2 tuners in one enclosure is perfectly and utterly legal where I
 live. As of today, there are no dual-tuner DVB-C cards, so there is only
 one solution to have dual-tuner functionality.

 2. I do not see and can not understand how any layer below mythbackend
 could cause the behaviour I described in the original bugreport. Could you
 please explain to me how my DVB devices could tell the difference between
 a live-TV session and recording and hence disturb the reaping of EIT
 events in the first case?

 Hope you have the decency and respect to at least answer my last question.
