Well, if "cmi" is the onboard sound and you get a good alsa driver
working for it, then yes, you should be able to do that.  Check the
list archives for the past few days - btaudio is tricky to configure,
but if you get it to work you can get the audio information right
from the onboard sound decoder (MSP34xxx and others) without going
through a line-out->line in patch cable.
