[mythtv] Profile & sound quesiton

1) When I was creating a recording profile, at the end when I clicked the
Finish button, I received this error from mythfrontend:

Failed to insert new entry for (recordingprofiles,id)
Failed to insert new entry for (recordingprofiles,id)

This is from a CVS extracted a few days ago.


2) I tried watching LiveTV, and received the following errors:

audio volume set to '32768'
only read -1 from 4096 bytes from '/dev/dsp0'
read audio: Input/output error
strange error flushing buffer ...
only read -1 from 4096 bytes from '/dev/dsp0'
read audio: Input/output error


Is this because a) the sound-card doesn't support full-duplex, or b)the
Alsa driver isn't enabling full-duplex?  I've been checking websites on
the onbaord sound, and all claim that it supports full-duplex, so I don't
want to incorrectly troubleshoot.  Is there a way to test for
full-duplicity of the hardware??
