[mythtv] MythTV as a set-top box?

[Storm Communications]

Can I use this software as a set top box, complete with a ir remote? I just
found this software and am wondering about all of its applications. I have
been reading about mythbackend, does that mean I can use it as a head end?
How many users will it serve?
