[mythtv] Random Seg. Faults and Video Twitches

Hey guys!!

I recently became the proud new father of an 1800+ and some DDRAM (333)
that I popped into my new motherboard..

This was pretty much the first time I thought it fit to go to 640x480 and
beyond (720x480... ooooh).. The fidelity of the video is *very* good, and
I was impressed, but I kept seeing random video twitches.. Very reliable
to create, and always there.. Also, there would be random "crashes" that
manifested as seg faults and also as full-fledged kernel panics..

I've seen this sort of thing before, so it didn't take long to diagnose..
Something about the DDRAM (I had 2x 256MB chips in there) wasn't sitting
right.. Pulled one of the chips out, and all seemed well again.. Put the
chip back in.. same problem.

So, just a heads up for those having random errors.. This sort of advice
is good general advice whenever inexplicable video twitches and kernel
panics happen.. So, if you remember this, you can potentially save
yourself a lot of hair pulling (like I did the first time I ever ran
across this sort of thing some years ago).. and as my hero, Martha
Stewart, says.. That's a good thing..

Take care of yourselves and each other (Springer)
