Ken, thanks for the patch.  I hadn't thought of implementing a slider
type; my plan was to just use something like a "+" for every 10 steps
so that a volume of 70 would show 7+'s, etc.  

I plan on incorporating sound manipulation into libmyth so that it's
accessible to other sound producing modules, like MythMusic.  Stay
tuned.
