i have mythtv running to the point where the database is being filled, i can view the program guide and the front end starts. when i go to watch live tv, all i get is the sound without and video, ultimately ending in "strange error, flushing buffer." i am running red hat 8.0, with all current patches applied. my capture card is a pctv (bt878) and video card is an ati rage mobility p/m, and i am using alsa sound drivers.

below is the result of running mythfrontend in debug mode, along with the output from xvinfo.

thanks in advance for everyone's help.
