[mythtv] Dual tuner card

So when can I expect to be able to buy a dual tuner card that will work in
linux?

I will build a MythTV System soon for devel purposes.
I am looking into the barebones formfactor (ie Shuttle) which has a max of 2
PCI slots so a dual tuner card is almost key to have.

My mother does run linux ;)
Mandrake 7.2 at that

It is adequate for web and e-mail on a P200 with 128MB EDO RAM
It did take a LOT of tweaking (by me) to make it useable.
It's got icewm, dfm, netscape, kmail, xmms, kmidi, staroffice 5.1, but it does
the job and is very stable.

There is however no hope of her changing anything on the system herself
I have to ssh in and make the changes.

So the barrier here, really is :
how to make it easy for new users to install manage and update a system.

Sorry for being off topic with this post

Eliminating the tweaking factor
is the whole idea behind a distribution

sure you could roll your own linux, but you gotta tweak a lot
when you buy a sony laptop you get a "sony distribution of windows"
lots of preinstalled software and lots of tweaked settings
wipe this laptop clean and put stock windows on it
it will take you a week to install drivers for all the unknown devices and
such.

The key to a good distribution then is getting the default settings right and
like you said eliminating the tweaking (like not having to learn how to make
desktop icons, and to associate filetypes with programs or having to set up
browser plugins), otherwise what's the point behind making a distribution.

It makes sense to have the distribution specific things non GPL
like YaST for SuSE and Click'N'Run for Lindows

but all drivers and such should be GPL
