[mythtv] mythvideo/mplayer hang news

this is because mplayer runs and accepts input from stdin.
try redirecting stdin to /dev/null: i.e.
mplayer -myflags < /dev/null &
i actually have an mplayer wrapper that cleans up a lot of that stuff.. i'll try to send it to the list
