Assuming people would be more interested in SVCD (mpeg2, 1hr per CDR,
vbr encoding...) How different is the mythtv mpeg4 format (apparently the
MPEG4 format isn't settled on yet) from mpeg2 on SVCD?
>From some research I did a while back, iirc, SVCD is 480x480
(non-square) pixels. Since the default recordings are 480x480, I'm hoping
coding it wouldn't be too tough (the other side of my brain is
rotfliao). I also agree, library calls would be the way to go. I had
3x5 index cards covered with command line options for the 5 or so steps
it took the get from .nuv to svcd. What a mess. I don't think it ever
got tweaked right. It really turns into an art form at that point.
