Well, I've finally finished the Reencoder patch which allows for
processing the cutlist without reencoding the entire file.
I don't use the cutlist too often, but it seems to be holding up
I kept the new frametypes as per my original implementation (keep track
of keyframe offsets) rather than Isaac's suggestion for micro-jumps (The
micro-jump method requires more CPU processing, and adds more overhead
for any future format conversion). If people really feel strongly, I can
implement it with micro-jumps, but I don't think it is worth it.
Note that this patch enables the transcoder polling thread again. I have
fixed all previously reported bugs, and it has been quite stable on my
system for months now.
These things are still on my todo list:
1) Add better support for MPEG2 streams (I have a PVR250 on the way to
help with this)
2) Seperate the Reencoder from NuppelVideoPlayer. This will require
quite a bit of surgery, but it would be a nice cleanup.
3) Have the transcoder save the queue in the database rather than in
