actually, if I recall, there are other things in there that run after
the system() call (as it should be).  Then again, I haven't used
mythencode because it didn't work right.

mythmkmovie is a great script, though you'll need the perl-curses rpm
from Axel's apt archive (same guy who does the mythtv rpm's) if you're
using redhat 8 or 9.
