Matt:
I seem to have serious problems with the ALSA site, but I did manage to
have a friend download the 4 modules and send them to me. Unfortunately, I
can't reliably get to the site to troubleshoot. And you and I seem to have
a similar hardware/software configuration, so I hope you can answer some
questions for me. (I am using a MS-6368 Motherboard, RH9, and WinTV-PVR250.)

When I compile with the instructions for the "via82xx" sound architecture
         ./configure --with-cards=via82xx --with-sequencer=yes;make;make
install
I get...
         <big snip>
         make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/alsa-driver-0.9.4/pcmcia'
         /sbin/depmod -a 2.4.20-13.9custom -F
/lib/modules/2.4.20-13.9custom/build/System.map
         depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in

         if [ -L /usr/include/sound ]; then \
                 rm -f /usr/include/sound; \
                 ln -sf /root/alsa-driver-0.9.4/include/sound
/usr/include/sound; \
         else \
                 rm -rf /usr/include/sound; \
                 install -d -m 755 -g root -o root /usr/include/sound; \
                 for f in include/sound/*.h; do \
                         install -m 644 -g root -o root $f
/usr/include/sound; \
                 done \
         fi
         if [ -d /sbin/init.d ]; then \
           install -m 755 -g root -o root utils/alsasound
/sbin/init.d/alsasound; \
         elif [ -d /etc/rc.d/init.d ]; then \
           install -m 755 -g root -o root utils/alsasound
/etc/rc.d/init.d/alsasound; \
         elif [ -d /etc/init.d ]; then \
           install -m 755 -g root -o root utils/alsasound
/etc/init.d/alsasound; \
         fi

Do you recall the exact command you used to configure/install ALSA? I've
read about "touching" .../include/linux/workqueue.h, but this didn't seem
to make any difference
