Like mdz mentioned, it'd probably be better to just gzip patches in the 
future.

I've just committed this to CVS.  Mind looking it over?  Also, the preliminary 
ALSA patch that just went in touches some of the NVP::ReencodeFile(), so you 
probably want to make sure it's doing right.
