Actually, I've got one idea for you to ponder. Run mkmovie, and let it
get to the command above. Once it does, break out, and then run the
command manually. I have a suspicion that there's a problem with the
mencoder not knowing how to write the avi file, and there's only one
real way to see it: Run the command being shown, and check the output.
It should tell you something about the cause of the failure. If you'll
email me the output, I'll tell you what I can read from it, too, that
might help fix things for you.
