No, as I can't reproduce it here at all.  It sounds as if the seek table is
missing, except that you claim there is no disk activity.

Does the same thing happen with 0.8?

It might surprise you to learn that there is not a 1:1 correlation between
the bitrate of the stream and total memory bandwidth utilization.  That data
is copied more than once during its processing, not to mention the encoding
operations that are taking place on _uncompressed_ frames at the same time.
