They're tuneable channel numbers. So, channum. startchan is simply the
starting position when it starts the TVRec object -- it can't be null. It
gets saved between runs/whenever you exit live tv, so it keeps it on the same
channel you last were using. tunechan is for silly people that are using
their tuner input for a cable/satellite box. If tunechan is non-null, it
will be set on the tuner, and the external change command will be used to
switch channels instead of the tuner.
