as a replay owner (and i still use it, haven't gone ahead
and stuck another capture card in the myth box, plus it's
still in the 'beta cycle' at home) i gotta say that a replay
has more buttons on the remote than almost anything else.

there are more buttons than key inputs in the keys.txt (i think)

i don't think it's out of line to expect the user to own a
remote w/ pvr buttons (i just picked up a universal remote
w/ pvr buttons for $17 at circuit city). not to say that
there couldn't be multiple setups for "simple" remotes and
for more complicated remotes.

example: have a dialog pop up when you hit "select" on a
recorded show that would list the options (play, delete,
change auto-reap option, etc. - ala replay) rather than
having 3 buttons (as it's setup now).

but if you have a "feature rich" remote, then it's nice not
to have to go through the popup to do whatever it is you
want to do.

"global" keys would be nice (still thinking about it from
the earlier thread) and would really take advantage of pvr
remotes
