problem? I see no problem, my myth box takes very little time to change
channel. I never measured it but I'd guess under a second.

I have shown my myth box to many technical and non technical people and
not a single one of them has not been impressed. (That includes taking
it to a hi tech expo and absolutely amazing the guy two stands down who
was selling a commercial pvr box - one of those dvd/hard drive combo
things)

It won't? *makes mental note to remove MythBox from lounge* *remembers
missus will get cross* *remembers daughters will get cross* *remembers
he'll get cross* *says: 'To hell with you it works great as far as I and
many others are concerned'*

Myth is an open source project and like many open source projects it
started because someone had an itch, decided to release it and then
someone else had an itch and scratched, etc, etc. You have an itch but
you can't expect that others are going to spend their time scratching
your bottom.

I'm sure Issac is very pleased with the uptake and development of Myth,
but when it comes down to it I'm sure he doesn't give a damn if it
remains a geeky toy. (well he probably does but not enough to scratch
your bottom!)

I have heaps of things I'd like done/added to Myth, but I don't know c++
that well, so I don't demand, I don't ask, I learn so that I can add
those things. (If you wanna see an example search the mail archives for
"Random Themes" and read the saga of me trying to code something.)

I don't know if anyone uses that (I don't) but I coded it, and I figured
out why subtitles didn't work in New Zealand and fixed it so it did.
(Must really get back on that subtitle stuff)

anyway thats enough ranting from me....

:D
