yes indeed. i suggested that overloading the database field was a "Bad Idea" 
(tm) but this was overfuled. anyway, seeing how little i've contributed i 
reckon i don't get a vote.

anyway, it doesn't alter the basic problem of needing to be able to see the 
picture as you tune and finetune.
