thanks.
I cant see it when X res is 1024x768 but can on my xbox which is set to
640x480
havent had time to look into it yet. The fonts also look larger in 640x480
wrt the total screen size.
This could be half the problem. font size consistency for various display
res's. but again not sure.
also there was the CC issue in zoom mode. this is handled in a fundamentally
different way and didnt want to change it. I think its already handled but
not sure.
I have no way to test for this.
I also think amybe it could be handled completely differently by writing the
menu and other OSD over
the overlay image (not the video bitmap). However not sure if this will work
under all different modes.
but should give more consistent results when video res changes. an AVI with
a low display res results in
chunky OSD text at the moment.
should also get rid of the problems with xvmc as that is also an overlay
function.
this would also reduce CPU load as the osd doesnt have to be copiued over
the video frame every frame.
perhaps 2 overlays can be used if this feature exists. note I use XV at the
moment so not very familiar
with the other display output methods such as fb.
also not sure about transparency in overlay modes too. not sure if this can
be done. need some hints bout this
and I should be able to implement something.
cheers
