I have narrowed the "juddering" problem down to between
MythTv CVS release dates:

2004-11-29: works Ok
2004-12-01: has judder.

I am rebuilding CVS release date: 2004-11-30 at the moment, although I
won't be able to test this till tomorrow morning.
