Hi All,

There is a bug with the arguments passed to transcode.

The symptoms: Running a DVD rip session results in the .vob file being
generated, the trancoder run, and all apearing normal from the user
perspective. However at the end of the disk activity, there is no .vob
file and no .avi file.

What is happening is this: Transcoder is failing but leaving all it's
spawned processes running so
there is lot's of disk activity an the apperance that transcodin g is
continuing.

Transcoder is failing because it has found the wrong version of xvid api
(I ticked the "use xvid"
box). This is because the parameter Myth sends to trancoder is -y xvid,
this means that the "old"
xvid2 lib is expected (API 2.1 series) where a recent install of xvid
installes xvid4 (API 4.0)
you can't even fing xvid2 on there web site anymore.

Doing a manual trancode with the parameter -y xvid4 of course works.

Which brings me to the feature request.

As new versions of libs are bound to continue ... how about allowing
parameters to me passed
to transcode as they are to mplayer. This would allow the flexibility of
passing changing parameters
instead of "hard coding" them within Myth.

Thanks for all the good work ... and xvid quality is really great!

Cheers,
Bernard Amentink
