[mythtv] mythmusic cvs compile issue

trying to compile mythmusic from cvs, and (among other errors) am
getting:

In file included from cddecoder.cpp:11:
cddecoder.h:8:28: cdda_interface.h: No such file or directory
cddecoder.h:9:27: cdda_paranoia.h: No such file or directory

now, both of those files exist in /usr/include/cdda/ so I'm a little
confused as to why they're not being found.  There are other errors, but
these are the first, and the others seem to be related.
