I'm back now.  Bachelor party this past wkd (not mine :-) ).

I can do this.  In fact that would make EXAvSync and VTAvSync even more 
similar and I may do some further mergind.

Can you make available a minute or so of a clip that starts up poorly so 
I can test it?  Which avsync method are you using (video or audio 
timebase), and which timer method?
