[mythtv] main menu problems

Can anyone tell me why when I updated to a cvs version about a month ago 
I lost everything on my main menu except TV and SETUP? I am using the 
GANT theme and checked the ui.xml file and it contails all the menu 
options. What determines if a menu item will be displayed? or will all 
main menu items be shown? I have deleted everything and reinstalled and 
it does not help. I have a front end running the same version and the 
main menu works.
