obvious problem. not sure why. I edit my patchfiles before submitting them
to remove any irrelevant sections. must have done it slightly wrong.

I considered this too. however due to the large number of options (5% steps
between 0.5 and 2.0 == 16 steps)
I considered this too much for individual menu items. would fill up the
screen and be cumbersome.
having used it a fair bit now, I use a variety of factors from 1.1 to 1.5
and anywhere between to watch various things depending on various factors
such as boringness, speech speed, action factor etc.
These are my reasons for making it a slider like volume and pic controls.
