It has been a few months, but IIRC I had horrible stutter problems and
soundcard audio buffer full. I was using ALSA 1.0.3 (or something like
that) at the time. So I tried 1.0.5 and everything was working great
(this is probably in the list archives back in the beginning of July I
think). Soon afterward I tried 1.0.6 and the stutter and sound card
buffer full problem came back. I have also tried 1.0.7rc1 and it didn't
help. I guess a difference in my setup is that I always recompile from
scratch with the alsa-lib version that matches the driver. I know it
isn't strictly necessary, but better safe than sorry. I also make sure
that my alsa-driver, alsa-lib, and alsa-utils always match. Since then
I have also been testing the ALSA CVS versions. These also had the same
issues so I started looking into the Myth ALSA code. I have been able
to make several changes to audiooutputalsa.cpp which have improved ALSA
output. I have my current Myth setup working very well with ALSA CVS
and will be retesting with 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 when I have a chance.

P.S. Just looked at the subject and realized how OT we have gotten.
Sorry everyone.
