I have the CVS version runing now(from 8-24-04), and it still looks like
the backend leaves some of the files open. Since Friday my myth box
has recored another 10 programs and now has two files open:

26 -> /home1/store/1011_20040923210000_20040923220000.nuv
36 -> /home1/store/1007_20040924220000_20040924230000.nuv

Both of the files are from more than a day ago(And have been open longer
than that) and I do not have auto-transcode and none of the shows are
showing they are flagging commercials, so the backend should be doing
nothing (also the disk led is not on and the backend has not recored any
thing for more than 12 hours, and top is showing idle of 97%)

Does any body else see this?

To see your open mythback files do:
ls -l /proc/`ps -e|grep backend|awk '{ print $1 }'`/fd|grep nuv
