Hi all

I might be posting this in the wrong section, but i am not a member of
myth user mailinglist yet. Im going to change my email to get rid off all
advertising that comes with this mail, sorry about that!

I have an Asus pundit-R box and we all know that the Ati binary driver is
just plain crap for this box. I saw that Ati cards can do composite sync
and when using the open source drivers, you can program an interlaced pal
modeline and use a vga to scart cable. The only problem is that i cant get
smooth playback, so i guess thats is because the original timing of the
mpeg stream dont get send to the graphic card :( I might add that i have a
very recent snapshot of the drm stuff, and verified that vsync workes with
glxgears.

Is there any why go get smooth playback with my config or should i go out
and buy myself a nvidia card and use bob deint like i do on my other box.

One more question: Can you turn of scaling of the original mpeg, if so, how?
I'm using xv as output method.

Cheers /Staffan
