thanks for that. much appreciated.

if changing card and changing source ("Y" and "C") were somehow
amalgamated, it might make sense to put the description on the cardinput
table and display only that. that way if you pressed a key (maybe a new
one required) it would cycle through all inputs on a card and then move to
the next card.

now that i think about it; it might make sense to add a description on the
cardinput table anyway. what do you think?
