It is easy enough for me just to add this patch whenever I do a "cvs
co", so I personally don't care if this makes it into .17.
I am wondering if there is anyone out there not operating from the cvs,
but has the same problem I do. If so, it would probably be nice if .17
had some sort of fix for this problem.
