Firstly, is there any reason for this to be so? It would seem logical that
if they are both blank (they really are blank in that case, not null),
that they should match.

Secondly I'm having a similar problem (and have been since 0.17, it was
fine with CVS of around xmas), only in my case, the subtitles are set. eg.

mysql> select * from program where title="Neighbours" and subtitle="Old Bones";

2 rows in set (0.00 sec)

Both of these are scheduled to record, despite duplicate checking being
enabled. I didn't change the settings on this between 0.16 (cvs) and 0.17
but it just stopped working.

Here the only thing that looks suspicious to me is the programid. In these
cases it is different. Could that be it? Where does it come from? I'm
using the new DVB code to grab the program guide, was previously using
tv_grab_dvb. I notice the OP didn't have programid set at all.

I haven't tried the latest CVS yet, so I apologise if this is already
fixed.

Cheers,

Martin.
