Well exactly, in fact getting a basic version that links the mythtv
database to the existing tools is going to be my first step. Initially
this wil just be a task that reads from the myth database and with then
interfaces with gnupod for an iPod or creates m3u playlists for others
as well as copying the files onto the player. This stage will also do
any format coversions required. This means that I can sync my iPod
without having to go into windows and I can use my mythtv playlists.

Once I've done this then I'll look at writting a myth module to
integrate things properly.

True. However this is no good for me as all my music is stored as Oggs.
Plus playlists will be nice.

Cheers
