[mythtv] How do you force transcoding host?

I have a few recordings that routinely choose the other host than that on 
which they were recorded to be transcoded on. This invariably gives this 
error:

2005-06-18 15:09:57.074 Attempted to transcode 
myth://192.168.33.12:6543/2_20050614224000_20050615005500.nuv. Mythtranscode 
is currently unable to transcode remote files.

A few other messages from my various tries to force the issue:
2005-06-18 15:09:57.091 
Deleting /vol/TV/2_20050614224000_20050615005500.nuv.tmp
2005-06-18 15:09:57.094 "Autodetect" transcode of "Impact" recorded from 
channel 2 at tir jun 14 22:40:00 2005: Errored.
2005-06-18 15:09:57.096 transcode: Last message repeated 6 times
2005-06-18 15:09:57.117 transcode: Transcode Errored
2005-06-18 15:10:00.226 Should be local only query: GetRecording

I have looked through the GUI settings and can find nothing that would work.
I have tried recording on the backend that should *not* transcode the show and 
still it ends up on that host...

When is mythtranscode going to support remote files and what can be done until 
then?
