[mythtv] should mythtv be forked?

But it doesn't do jack for the end user who refuses to use it. I really don't
see the point of switching. It'd be a large amount of pain for what I'd see
as minimal benefits. If some of the rest of the developers (ie., people who
actually have a history of contributing) would like to switch, I'd seriously
consider it, though.

And again - the major time sink in making a release at this point in time is
making the tarballs, updating the website, writing the changelog, etc. _NOT_
anything dealing with the source.

I don't know you from Joe Blow. So far, your main contribution has been to
denigrate how I run my project - why should I trust your judgement to do
anything? You've also repeatedly said you don't have much time to help,
remember.

Then why can't you start helping with that? It's _not_ dependent on switching
to subversion or _anything_ else. If you build a 0.17.1 point release tree
that I agree with the fixes in it, I'll release it.

Heh. There's always lots of people that are for changes. They always seem to
go away when it's time to start getting work done, though.
