[mythtv] should mythtv be forked?

And a reminder to people that submit patches:

In general, on a F/OSS project, if you want your patch in, *YOU* have
to cheerlead for it.  Keep an eye on it, resubmit it (politely) if you
think it's been lost track of... repeatedly, if necessary (as long as
you do it politely enough).  

Eventually, someone will either commit it, or tell you why not.

But it's *not* their responsibility to keep track of it, *even if it's
on a tracker like MythZilla*.
