Yes, and no. First XvMC isn't currently auto-detected (as it should be IMO),
in this case it is the vld detection forcing XvMC on. Second, yes, nice
things should be auto-detected and used, auto-enabling XvMC for those who
simply have the ability is evil.

The group who has XvMC libs on their computer (not the via ones) will be
significantly larger than the group who uses them.
